You can leave cat food, treats and cat litter at our two collection points. There is one in Scalloway, inside Scalloway Meat supermarket.

DONATE THINGS TO SELL ON OUR STALL

We currently have a regular tabletop stall at Bolts/ The Toll Clock in Lerwick, where we sell good quality donated items at the best prices in Shetland, on the first Saturday of every month (mark that date on your calendar) from 9:00-15:30. 

You can find us on the downstairs corridor, opposite the Skipidock cafe.

If you would like to donate items (anything non-electrical) you can bring them on the day or we can arrange to collect them (email us: monkeyandsofia@yahoo.co.uk). Examples of what have sold well recently are: books, clothes, crafts, toys, pet products and cat themed items. But anything suitable for a quick sale would be appreciated.

Our volunteers also make things to sell so are always in need of knitting wool etc.

If you own an empty shop on Commercial Street we would be very interested in using that too. It would have to be on a rent-free basis, but our charitable status could allow you to claim back a refund on the rates you pay SIC.

We sometimes get donated items which would realise a better price if sold online. If you are a seller and could do this for us it would be a great way to support us.

LET US USE YOUR EMPTY SHOP TO HAVE OUR STALL

Most of our income at the moment comes from the monthly stall at the Toll Clock Shopping Centre. However, we are limited to just one table to display items. In order to show everything we have we need another venue. If you have an empty shop, on know someone with one, particularly in the centre of Lerwick, that we could use rent-free (either for a couple of days or one day a month), this would make a huge difference to we can do for cats in Shetland.

VOLUNTEER

We need people to run our monthly stall at the Toll Clock Shopping Centre, which raises the money we need for the cats in our care. This involves setting up the stall, being there while it is open, and packing up at the end of the day. We sell books, DVDs, crafts, bric-a-brac and anything else that is donated (except electrical items.)

We also need people who can foster cats in their own home.

As well as help with fundraising, transporting cats and marketing.
